The Wall Street Journal has a theory about why millennials and Gen Z can’t afford houses.

Bold of them to assume we thought we could.

It’s Monday. Here are memes.

1. ☕ Dolly Parton — "CAFFEEEEEEINE"

Scientists say caffeine doesn't technically start working for 15 to 45 minutes.

Some people meditate before work. I whisper "caffeine" three times like Dolly and hope for the best.

2. 👕 The Looney Tunes Shirt

This shirt was legally required to appear in at least one elementary school class photo.

If you owned this shirt, congratulations. You're automatically qualified to complain about how cartoons "just aren't the same anymore."

3. "You look happy..."

Normalize friendships where "I'm just playing" isn't used as a customer service refund policy for disrespect.

The older I get, the more I realize peace is suspiciously quiet.

Nobody's "just joking."

Nobody's testing boundaries.

Nobody's making you explain why something hurt your feelings.

We may be onto something here.

4. 🌊 "Go With the Flow"

"I'll just see where life takes me."

Life: immediately throws you into the deep end.

Unfortunately the flow appears to be heading directly toward an unpaid bill, three unread emails, and an emotionally significant Target purchase.

5. 🦶 Barefoot Indoors vs Outdoors

Human beings are fascinating.

We'll happily walk barefoot across dirt, grass, rocks, tree roots, and whatever mysterious ecosystem exists in the backyard...

...but the second we step on one unidentified crumb in our own kitchen,

the day is ruined.
